Academy of Serbian Folk Dancing Association "Bata Marčetić" from Toronto held a concert "To Montreal With Love" on March 16 of this year in the DB Clarke Theatre, Concordia University, in Montreal, on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Serbia.

The Academy was founded in 2004. in Toronto and attracts highly educated musicians, six folk ensembles, singers and recreational ensemble. They participated, and awarded, at many Canadian and international competitions and festivals. Academy slogan is "The Pride of Canada - the Soul of Serbia", and a representative to promote folk songs and dances of the Republic of Serbia.

The event was dedicated to the National Day of the Republic of Serbia, and by the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Ottawa, attended by Members of Parliament from Montreal, Permanent Representatives to ICAO, as well as representatives of the diplomatic consular corps from Montreal. Concert was also attended by a large number of representatives of the Serbian community in Montreal.

Mrs. Mirjana Šešum-Ćurčić, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i., welcomed the guests and delivered a speech on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia
